- A funicular railway, the Peak Tram will carry you from Garden Road to the summit of Victoria Peak via a steep ascent, granting some of the best views of Hong Kong’s skyscrapers and harbour.
- Then, make your way to Stanley Market, one of the busiest and most well-known shopping hubs of Hong Kong. This is a traditional open-air market selling souvenirs, clothing, arts and crafts, toys, ornaments and even luggage. A major tourist attraction, Stanley Market has something for everyone and is great fun to browse through even for those who do not plan on shopping much. Grab lunch at one of the small Chinese eateries in the market and visit Murray House which houses the Hong Kong Maritime Museum.

- Get ready for a day of fun for the whole family at Ocean Park Hong Kong. Ocean Park is not just your average theme park; it combines an amusement park with an oceanarium and animal habitats. Aimed at merging education and entertainment, Ocean Park features roller coasters, polar and rainforest habitat exhibits and one of the world’s largest aquarium domes, among other attractions. Ocean Park is grouped into two major attraction areas - the Waterfront and the Summit, with eight further subdivisions. The day will run out before you’ve had your fill of the wonders of Ocean Park. Ride the Hair Raiser and Raging River.
- Hang out with king penguins and southern rockhopper penguins at South Pole Spectacular. Come face to face with manta rays and the scalloped hammerhead shark at the Grand Aquarium. Don’t miss an opportunity to see heavily endangered species such as Chinese alligators from the Yangtze River at Gator Marsh, and the Black Oranda at Goldfish Treasures. This is sure to be one of the highlights of your vacation!
- Enjoy an idyllic ferry-ride to Lantau Island, Hong Kong’s largest island, after breakfast. Visit the Po Lin monastery and the Museum Below the Buddha. Po Lin is one of the most important sites of pilgrimage in Hong Kong and has a gigantic outdoor seated Buddha statue - the magnificent Tian Tan Buddha. Three floors below the statue are dedicated to displaying Buddhist art and artefacts including a relic of Shakyamuni. Tired out from all the climbing you’ll have to do, take a lunch break at Po Lin’s excellent vegetarian restaurant.
- Visit the Tai O Fishing Village for a glimpse into Hong Kong’s past as a cluster of humble fishing settlements. Cruise around the tightly networked houses built on stilts of Lantau’s once largest inhabited settlement.
- End the day with Ngong Ping village and a Ngong Ping 360 cable car ride. This cultural village has been designed and built to complement the beautiful setting of the Ngong Ping region. Grab a snack at one of the fantastic cafes, pick up a souvenir, catch one of the shows or VR experiences specially curated for visitors and ride the Ngong Ping 360 cable car for stunning vistas of the South China Sea. - After a hearty buffet breakfast, return to Lantau Island, but for a day at Hong Kong Disneyland. The largest theme park in Hong Kong, this one tops all itineraries and to-do lists. And it’s worth every bit of the hype with seven themed areas and dozens of attractions to suit all ages and tastes. Each zone is an immersive experience in itself and allows no distraction from other parts of the park. Hang out with your favourite Disney characters, in magical places you’ve always dreamed of visiting, in Fantasyland. Catch a glimpse of the dizzying excitement of the future with Tomorrowland. Say howdy to the wild west on Main Street, USA, built to resemble an old Midwestern town. Wonder about the frenzy of the California Gold Rush? Grizzly Gulch takes you on a thrilling trip through an abandoned mining town in the hills. Watch your back in the jungle as you make your way through Adventureland. Hop over to meet Buzz Lightyear and Sheriff Woody at Toy Story Land. And brave the depths of a spooky rainforest, where inexplicable things occur, at Mystic Point. Whether you have kids or are young at heart yourselves, Hong Kong Disneyland is the experience of a lifetime.
- You have an early start today to visit Guangzhou in China. Travel by catamaran and coach to Shekou Industrial Zone, China’s first Special Economic Zone. Make your way to Shenzhen Safari Park for the moment you’ve been waiting for - a chance to meet a giant panda! These beloved bears are native to south-central China and heavily threatened. Watch these rare mammals interact, play, eat and sleep on their homeground.
- The safari park is also home to other magnificent animals including Asian elephants and Siberian tigers! Thereafter, visit a local market and the Exhibition Hall in Shekou. See a set of the legendary Qin Dynasty terracotta warriors unearthed in Xian, alongside ancient bronze ware, pottery, porcelain and wall paintings from the Tang Dynasty.
- After lunch, move on to sightseeing in the city of Guangzhou, a busy metropolis. Explore the city, making stops at the Six Banyan Tree Temple and the Memorial Hall of Dr Sun Yat Sen. In the evening, take an express train back to Hong Kong and return to your hotel for dinner and some well-earned rest.
- Make sure you get a good night’s rest and eat a big breakfast beforehand for you are going to take on Hong Kong’s highest peak today - the mighty Tai Mo Shan. Despite an elevation of over 900 metres, Tai Mo Shan is a hiker’s delight, with spectacular panoramic views of Hong Kong, Lantau and Shenzhen, seasonal flowers, misty greenery and cascading waterfalls. And there are several trails to the summit, offering varying difficulties to match your ability. You can even take a dip in the pools of sparkling clear water fed by the waterfalls. Make your descent through the Shing Mun reservoir to enjoy the area’s rich flora and fauna. This is a Hong Kong you’ve never seen before.
- After returning to your hotel for a couple of hours of rest to recover from the day’s excursion, spend the evening exploring Kowloon. This crowded urban area is one of the most interesting in Hong Kong, blending old-world Chinese culture with the cosmopolitanism of modern Hong Kong.
- Get your fortune told on Temple Street through a palm or face reading. Lose your way in Sham Shui Po amid the street markets, wet market and traditional Chinese pawn shops. Unwind over dinner at a trendy pub or restaurant in Mong Kok, one of Hong Kong’s most happening neighbourhoods.
- For the final day of your vacation, welcome to the Vegas of the East! As a former Portuguese colony, Macau displays a beautiful blend of the European and the Asian in its culture, architecture, language and food. At a mere one-hour ferry ride away from Hong Kong, it’s the perfect conclusion to your trip.
- Spend the morning and afternoon exploring Macau’s colourful history through heritage walks, museums and ruins. Stroll along Largo de Senado square and Largo de Sao Domingo square to take a look at Igreja de Sao Domingos, an ornate 17th-century church in the Baroque style.
- Thereafter, visit the ruins of the Church of St Paul, also from the 17th century. Only the tiered façade remains but it is a gorgeous piece of architecture with much of the rich Chinese detailing still present. Don’t forget to stop at the Macau Museum to understand how the development of Macau paralleled its Portuguese and Chinese influences.
- The 16th-century A-Ma temple dedicated to the Chinese goddess of the sea is a transcendental experience. Or visit the Nu Wa temple, the only one in Macau dedicated to the Chinese equivalent of Mother Earth. Sample some of Macau’s scrumptious street fare and casual dining in between.
- Come evening, head to The Bubble at the City of Dreams casino for a fabulous laser and light show depicting the legend of the Jade Emperor. Marvel at the grandeur of The Venetian Macao, the largest casino in the world and try your luck at the tables, if you dare! Fortunes have been made and broken here.
- If gambling’s not your cup of tea, savour a superlative dinner at any of Macau’s fine dining establishments, go dancing at a glittering nightclub or linger over a last drink at a trendy bar. This is the perfect end to a perfect holiday. Overnight at a hotel in Macau.
